Asma Khoory

Receiving a BFA in Visual Arts, with a minor in Curatorial Practices from Zayed University in 2017, Asma Khoory furthered her art education in Exhibition Design and Contemporary Art Practice through the Chelsea College of Arts courses in Dubai, UAE. Khoory’s work has been exhibited both locally and internationally, including, the solo exhibition, Look Beyond Them, shown in its first iteration at Warehouse 61, Alserkal Avenue in 2016 and in its second, at Nieuw Dakota, Amsterdam in 2018. The artist’s group shows include, Fallibility of Memory, Southeast Missouri State University (2015); Printmaking Exhibition, House #45, SIKKA Art Fair (2016); Woven Heritage International Miniature Printmaking Exhibition, A4 Space, Alserkal Avenue, Dubai (2017) and The Art of Giving, FN Design, Alserkal Avenue, Dubai 2015/ 2017.

 

Khoory was awarded the fifth Salama Bint Hamdan Emerging Artist fellowship, set up by the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation, in collaboration with prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, which resulted in her participation in the exhibition, Community and Critique, held at Warehouse 421, Abu Dhabi in 2018.
