Salama Nasib

Salama Nasib recently graduated from her MA in Printmaking from the Royal College of Art, London. Prior to her masters programme, culminating in 2018, Nasib graduated with a BA in Visual Art from Zayed University, Dubai, in 2011.

 

Specialising in printmaking, Nasib has exhibited locally in the UAE, including at Tashkeel and Emirates Palace, as well as internationally, at the Meridian International Centre in Washington D.C., and at the Kunstquartier Bethanien in Berlin. The artist was invited to be the guest artist of Past Forward: Exhibitions from the UAE, hosted in East Lansing, Michigan, at the fifth destination of the touring exhibition in 2015. Notably, Nasib took part in the inaugural group of the Salama Emerging Artist Fellowship, set up by the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation, in collaboration with prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. Additionally, Nasib has worked as a Studio Coordinator at Tashkeel, UAE where she managed seven studios and organised artistic and collaborative workshops, and co-curated several exhibitions.
