Munira Al Kazi

Born in India to a prominent merchant family of Saudi-Kuwaiti origin, Al Kazi graduated from London’s Central School of Art and Design in 1961, where she mainly focused on different kinds of printmaking. Staying on in London throughout the 60s the artist began to achieve exposure through group and solo exhibitions in Europe and her native Middle East, including, most notably, the inaugural exhibition of Sultan Gallery in Kuwait in 1969.
